Beginning Monday, October 19th our delivery schedule will be as follows:
- Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays: Delivery of a hot meal
- Monday & Thursday: Delivery of a frozen meal
This schedule increases from 2 to 3 deliveries a week – and a return to hot meals after 7 months! – delivered to the homes of our clients. We also continue to deliver meals to the homes of those clients who formerly enjoyed lunch at senior center sites, as it continues to be unsafe for group dining at this time.
Our menus are now posted on our website and a paper copy distributed to clients for two weeks at a time, as we are still experiencing supply chain challenges and may have to make substitutions.
Although Meals on Wheels Yolo County is closed to the public and will not be delivering meals on Tuesdays and Fridays (and weekends), of course, our front office is staffed 5 days a week to answer the phone, monitor social media/emails, and, of course, preparing food in the main kitchen in Woodland.
We will maintain this schedule for the foreseeable future. For the latest developments, check here, or on our Facebook page.
We are incurring additional costs we had not anticipated to deal with our changes in service. If you would like to donate to help offset these costs, visit our website at: www.mowyolo.org/donate. Thank you for thinking of our elderly folks at this time.
If you have any concerns, questions, etc.:
Take care of yourself; wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and often. Wear a mask. Physically distance from others by at least 6 feet.
And be well.
Thanks to these supporters for their help during this difficult time:
